April 6th, 1909: 100 years and a week ago, Robert Peary and Matthew Henson claim to have arrived at the North Pole. Their story is both famous and uncertain. They received great honors and many questions. Both men were expert navigtors, bold, and determined. Most important, they respected Inuit tools and wisdom. Construct a model of Perry's wooden dogsled and his brave Canadian Inuit Dogs (Qimmiq: Innuit for dog.) Reenact parts of Peary's adventure.
