The torque and speed of motors are more easily learned by touch than by numbers. Just as the rhythms of dance are best learned by moving and not by reading notes on a page.
Small motors just go: one speed, one direction, one shape (round and round). In this workshop, get control. With a keyboard, 4 motors, pulleys, linkages, springs…and practice, make a wooden figure dance. Expect not ballroom, not ballet, but a whole lot of shakin'.
Take inspiration from Mat Harding's playful world tour of dance here. http://youtu.be/Pwe-pA6TaZk
