Astroboy first appeared in Japan as Tetsuwan Atom (the Mighty Atom) in 1951. A robot with extraordinary powers, he…and later his sister…battle villains from around the world and outer space. Influenced by Mickey Mouse and Mighty Mouse, his creator reshaped Japanese manga and anime traditions. Construct and launch Astroboy and Astrogirl into intricate science fiction adventures. Stage an operatic climax for the summer. Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto! Rockets included.
