Learn to use 3D modeling programs to prototype your ideas. Accessorize your favorite toy. Make your own buttons, badges, key chains, board game pieces, toy building blocks and more. Then print out your models in real plastic with our Makerbot Replicator printers. We’ll explore Autodesk’s TinkerCAD and 123D Design, Sketch Up, and Blender. Learn and compare “solid” and “mesh” modeling to see which programs are best for 3d printing. What could be a better way to learn CAD (computer aided drafting) programs than to have a 3D model printing out in front of you?
We will be using Autodesk’s 123D Suite. An e-mail address is required to sign up for this FREE account.
