Some castles are also palaces with a noble family and royal staff. Some castles are forts defending the edge of a kingdom. Some castles are outposts that protect travelers and trading caravans. Some are beautiful. Some are simply practical.
Build your castle. Master microbricks to construct your walls and towers. Give your castle a purpose. It could be a beautiful treasure house fit for a queen or king.
Make its royal family, its chamberlain, its musicians and jesters. Or your castle could be fortified. Construct its knights, its archers, its artillery persons, and common soldiers.
Either castle will need a great kitchen to feed its inhabitants, a throne room for planning and celebrations, and a stable for your animals. Every castle serves a community of people and has its own story. Compare European castles to more recent castles built in Connecticut. What similarities do you see and what is their role in CT?
