This course is for Beginners on the CNC and for those who want to continue their experience working with the CNC and learning from Ryan. Continuing students will work on specialized projects.
A course designed for the experienced designer and hobbyist maker alike. In this course, participants will learn to draw using Computer Aided Design software to produce parts with a CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) router. Starting with simple 2 dimensional drawings to create 3 dimensional constructions.
Design puzzles, boxes, containers, toys, and assemblies while learning to work in VCarve Pro , the CAD language which controls our commercial grade CNC machines. Participants may use their own PCs or check out a laptop from the Museum.
This will be a 5 week course run on Tuesday nights from 6 – 9 pm, plus a 1 hour one-on-one machine time session on a Saturday or Sunday in March. This Sat/Sun session will be signed up for in the class.
Each participant will be provided with one sheet of 24" x 48" x 1/2" Ultra Lite MDF.
