Use MIT's Scratch, a programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art – and share your creations with others around the world. In the process of designing and programming Scratch projects, you will learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Learn the basics of programming. Create a story with characters from your favorite cartoon or movie using Scratch blocks to direct and animate your project.

Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. It is available for free at https://scratch.mit.edu. You will need an e-mail address (either your own or a parents') to share your work online. Or you can bring your project home on a USB flash drive or CD.
