Everyone needs a best friend, but how do you get one? And how do you keep one? How do you share? First rule: be active. Friendships are relationships that you make. Second rule: observe. Observing is sharing. This camp examines the art and literature of friendships. From stories of friendships new and old, we’ll assemble a practical guide.
Each day we will read a story about friendship and construct a friend to take home. Sew an imaginary friend. Learn the important role that sharing plays in friendship. Construct an interesting box to hold treasures to share with friends. Build an unusual animal friend on wheels — an electronic robot friend — and find out what happens when your friend is a little bit different than you imagined.
Discover that everything we make and do prepares our friendships!
