The Portfolio Project is an effort to train Apprentices to document their designs as evidence of their skills and the Museum's scope and purpose. While there is some collaboration in all designs, unless otherwise noted the the creative and technical decisions that shaped this project are principally the apprentice's.

Title: Color in Light and Shadow

Year: 2014
Age: 17
Apprentice Year: 4th

Assignment:To honor the Nobel Prize for Physics awarded October 7th to the creators of the blue LED, we assembled a full program of projects with virtually no preparation time on October 12. Suneeth had less than an hour to design and produce a flexibly adjustable battery holder / 3 light system that 7-10 year olds could master and manipulate. He produced and taught 15 of these with continuous refinements as he worked with children. Commercial models of this experiment cost $40. Suneeth's cost $4.
