Vacation Program
- Tuesday, December 29, 2009
- 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Designed for ages 11 to 14
As we celebrate the centennial of A.C. Gilbert's , we look at the chemistry set for magic that Gilbert produced in the 1920's. Reproduce tricks that Gilbert designed…with safety goggles, rubber gloves, special ventilation and expert supervision (none of which are mentioned in the Gilbert Manual by the way.) You will be surprised and amused by basic reactions, the wonders of chemistry, and the miracle that any child survived that age of braver parents. 10am – 12pm (2 hours only)
Instructor Forrest Gittleson is a graduate student in Chemical Engineering at Yale University.
