Four hundred years ago, the Italian mathematician Galileo constructed a telescope and turned it toward the heavens. He changed the way we thought. Galileo was a gifted experimenter. He used marbles to identify the laws of motion. To understand marbles, he had to play with marbles. After all, marbles already know the laws of motion.
Construct a clever marble shooter to hear gravity work.
Construct a 12" tall marble track around a model of the Leaning Tower of Pisa with wood, glue, marbles and...then experiment. You will always remember that Galileo was a professor in Pisa. You will always remember that marbles are very good teachers.
