Farmers uphold values and responsibilities often taken for granted in urban life. The expectations for the world of agriculture are generous, wherein workers in agricultural careers are meant to produce goods for those detached from such lifestyles. Frequently, this frames the life of a farmer as that of a provider, but their duties are not as simple as planting seeds and feeding pigs.
This workshop dares you to see farmers and their lifestyles as sustainable and retaining their own unique tricks, knowledge, and contributions to society at large. Learn how different tools, building methods, and agricultural systems increase your cognitive, technical, and physical capabilities. Each student will leave with their own miniature barn and irrigation system in addition to country-style fun, 360° farm tours, and more.
