Artist-in-Residence, Susan Clinard, shares her Barn, her studio, media that she finds expressive and her ways of seeing. Sculpting is a basic instinct. Self -expression requires encouragement and sometimes gentle prodding.
Experiment with the basic materials of sculpture: clay, wood, wire, found objects, papier maché. Learn to understand, and stretch the possibilities of each. Then choose one material to test and stretch your skills and seeing.
The Department of Economic and Community Development and the Connecticut Office for the Arts helped underwrite the Museum's Visiting Artist Program.
